Georgian football player Davit Volkovi is one step ahead of the conference league. His team “Zira”, in the two-match confrontation of the third stage of the conference league, eliminated the Croatian “Osiek” and entered the play off.
The Georgian forward was involved from the first minutes. His club was losing 1:2 when Volkovi equalized the score in the 90th minute. Nothing changed in extra time. A series of penalties revealed the winner, where the Azerbaijanis were better.
Volkovi is starting the season well and it is possible that he will be included in the plans of Willy Sagnol for the games in September.
