The captain of the Czech national team, Tomas Soucek Criticizes Czech Performance in 4-1 Defeat to Georgia.
Soucek remarked in an interview with ČT Sport after the match against Georgia, that only a few suggestions could be made, and they would all be negative. He described the match as probably his worst with the national team, noting that while the result was one aspect, the performance was way different. He also acknowledged that the team made numerous defensive mistakes.
“Sometimes I had the feeling that we behaved like schoolchildren. They organized such counterattacks for us, they gave us a lesson. They went quickly to the goal and scored goals like that. After the match, we had something to say to each other and we will definitely do it”. – said Soucek.
The captain expressed his disappointment and determination for a rematch. Reflecting on the game, Soucek noted, “We wanted to play against Georgia as we did at the Euros, where we were the better team. However, this time they showed us their best side and were clearly superior.”
The Georgian national team defeated the Czech Republic with the result of 4:1.
