The Head Coach of Georgian Futsal Aims for Victory in Lithuania

On September 17-19, the national futsal team of Georgia will hold friendly matches with the national team of Lithuania.
Avtandil Asatiani, the head coach of the national team, made a statement on the said game. He noted that the national team is preparing for the qualifying stage of the European Championship, which will be held in December.
Avtandil Asatiani praised the Lithuanian team, ponting out to their strengths and the benefit of facing a strong opponent, particularly as Lithuania will be one of the hosts for the upcoming European Championship.
“We are preparing for the qualifying stage of the European Championship, which will start in December. Our goal is to use the friendly matches so that by December there will be no more question marks and we will select the best team”. – said Avtandil Asatiani.
The head coach highlights that the Lithuanian national team is known for its unique style of play and will also be one of the hosts of the upcoming European Championship. According to him this will significantly aid Georgia’s preparation for future games. However, injuries will prevent two key players, Shota Topuria and Irakli Todua, from participating.
In their absence, less experienced players will be given an opportunity to showcase their skills. The head coach emphasizes that while the team will aim to secure victories in Lithuania, their main focus remains on preparing for the official matches in December.
