The coach of the Georgian youth national team Ramaz Svanadze, evaluated the matches held in September and expressed hope for important meetings in October.
“It was a difficult game against the Netherlands, defeat is always sad. However, in October in Sweden we have a match equal to the final. If we take into account the mental side and do not count the first 15 minutes, the team reacted adequately to the playing episodes in the remaining sections” said Svanadze.
Svanadze emphasized their commitment to not conceding anything and highlighted their journey as a testament to hard work, teamwork, and unity, which he believes will lead to success in Sweden. He expressed optimism that this experience would be beneficial for their upcoming challenges in Sweden.
The coach also expressed regret over the absence of Saba Sazonov before the game, noting that it disrupted the 8-day work plan. Additionally, he mentioned the challenge of a completely overhauled defense line, with the exception of team captain Saba Khvadagiani.
Svanadze concluded by expressing his gratitude to fans from all over the europe, acknowledging that their support during the match was very important for the team.
Ramaz Svanadze’s team has two matches left to to compete in the Euro 2025 qualifying group. On October 10, the Georgian youth team will visit Sweden, and on October 15, they will host North Macedonia at “Shengelia Arena” in Kutaisi.
