The Cincinnati Masters ended with the victory of Jannik Sinner

The 1,000-point Cincinnati Masters held before the US Open, the last Grand Slam tournament of the year in tennis, ended with the victory of the world number one, Italian Jannik Sinner.

In the final match, Sinner defeated the American Frances Tiafoe in two sets, 7:6 (7:4), 6:2.

For the 23-year-old tennis player, the Cincinnati Masters in 2024 is the fifth tournament won. He earned 1,000 rating points and $1,049,460 with this win.

The women’s tournament also ended in Cincinnati, the champion of which was the representative of Belarus, Aryna Sabalenka. In the final, she defeated the American Jessica Pegula.

The American Open began on August 19 with the qualifying stage matches, and the finals of the tournament are scheduled for September 9. The 2023 winner of the men’s competition is Serbia’s Novak Djokovic, and the women’s champion is Coco Gauff (USA).
