The veteran players of the Georgian national team and the Milan club held a joint press conference, where Kakha Kaladze reminisced about his playing days at “Milan” with his former teammates. He expressed gratitude to his friends for visiting Georgia, reflecting on their shared experiences on the pitch.
“I want to thank my friends for coming to our country, to our beautiful capital, and today, Georgian fans will have the opportunity to see spectacular football.
As for Milan, I am the happiest person to have had the opportunity to play for a club with such a history as Milan. I had an amazing ten years. The team then won everything it was possible to win. The arrival of “Milan” in Georgia has a double burden for me. It’s like I’ve gone back in time. I am still the same little tin that I was years ago and I am the happiest person that the friends with whom I achieved great success are with me today. Many Georgian fans stayed up late at night to watch Milan’s games”. – said Kaladze.
The mayor recalled that during his playing days, there weren’t many opportunities or social media, making it difficult to watch football. He expressed his appreciation for the support that AC Milan received at that time and offered heartfelt thanks to his friends for being here today.
The match of legends will be held today at 19:00 at the stadium named after Mikheil Meskhi.
