Negotiations are in progress with “Bayern”, “Real” Madrid, and “Liverpool” to arrange future friendly matches, according to the Mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze. He made this announcement at the Davit Petriashvili Stadium, where the Georgian team was conducting their first training session before the upcoming match against “Milan”.
As he mentioned, on September 21, the Georgian fans are waiting for a very interesting game.
“We are preparing for September 21 – we have conducted the first training. After that, on September 20, we will have a meeting at the stadium named after Mikheil Meskhi. On the 21st, Georgian fans will see legendary football players. These are people who have been cheering for years. I know many fans have stayed up late to watch their favorite players play. And now, we have the opportunity to bring these players to Tbilisi.
This match has a double meaning for me. I am very happy to have the opportunity to participate in this game. Also, due to the fact that for years, I defended the honor of the club “Milan”, I am glad to meet my former teammates. I think it will be quite an interesting meeting”,- said Kakha Kaladze.
He indicated that the Georgian side plans to negotiate with other prominent football clubs in the future to organize additional legends’ matches.
Kaladze stated that during the initial meeting with “Inter”, it was agreed that such friendly matches would become a regular occurrence. He noted that discussions are underway with “Bayern”, “Real Madrid”, and “Liverpool”. In the upcoming months, further details will be revealed, and Georgian fans can anticipate the arrival of more renowned and legendary football players.
On September 21, at 19:00, a match of legends will be held at the stadium named after Mikheil Meskhi. Veteran Georgian football players and legends of Italian football club “Milan” will meet each other.
