Ronald Koeman, the captain of the Netherlands national team, has stated his opinion about Bergwijn’s move to the Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad, saying that the door to the national team is now closed for the player.
“Bergwijn’s transfer to Saudi Arabia at the age of 26 means his chances with the national team are over,” said Koeman.
The 26-year-old player has played in 35 matches for the Netherlands, having 8 goals.
