Raphaël Varane, the 31-year-old French central defender, has officially announced his retirement from the football career through a social media post.
Struggling with several injuries in recent months, the player had signed with “Como” during the summer transfer window but was unable to join the Serie A squad due to persistent fitness issues.
Throughout his illustrious career, Varane played for top clubs ,such as “Real” Madrid and “Manchester United”. Together with the French national team, Varane became the world champion in 2018, and with “Real”, the French player won the Champions League four times
