The European Youth Judo Championship started today in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia.
On the first day of the competition, four Georgians participated in the Georgian national team, of which only Nino Loladze (57 kg) was able to win a medal.
The 19-year-old Georgian athlete lost to the representative of Azerbaijan Fidan Alizada by ippon in the final. Loladze brought the first medal to the Georgian national team at the tournament.
Tornike Mosiashvili (66 kg) had a chance to win a bronze medal, but he lost in the repechage.
Six Georgian judokas will compete at the European Youth Championship tomorrow, on 6th of September.
