Georgian tennis player Nikoloz Basilashvili was defeated in the final of the qualifying round at the ATP 250 tournament in Antwerp.
Basilashvili faced Belgian Zizou Bergs, who emerged victorious in straight sets, winning 7-6 (7-4), 6-1 to claim the qualifying title.
After an 18-month hiatus, Basilashvili participated in the ATP tournament for the first time. Until now, due to the ranking, he participated in the ITF competitions of a relatively low rank.
Basilashvili’s highest career ranking was 16th in the world, and he has won five ATP titles throughout his career.
