The president of Spanish La Liga Javier Tebas, discussed the unsuccessful deal involving Nico Williams and FC Barcelona.
Tebas explained that while Nico Williams was interested in joining Barcelona, the club was unable to sign him due to salary cap restrictions.
“Nico Williams wanted to play for Barcelona in Catalonia, but due to the lack of salary cap, Barcelona could not sign him.
Happy that he is still in “Athletic Bilbao” and makes Spanish football better,” said Javier Teabas.
