Mats Hummels, the former central defender for Borussia Dortmund and the German national team, is near to move to Roma. On September 4, Hummels will travel to Italy to complete the details of his transfer and sign with the club as a free agent.
Hummels has played 78 matches for the German national team, scoring five goals, and is a 2014 World Cup champion.
