After the victory over the Czech Republic, Guram Kashia, the captain of the Georgian national football team, expressed his opinion about today’s game.
“In today’s game, we were very effective in counterattacks, and our players displayed remarkable speed.”- said Kashia.
According to the captain, what was very important to him, following the success, was how the team would perform today. He admitted to being concerned about the possibility of over self-confidence and a potential display of a typical Georgian character, where after achieving something positive, they sometimes falter. However, he noted that today’s well-established players showed their ability, and he was glad with the emergence of promising young talent.
“As for the news, in today’s game we were very cool in counter attacks and we have very fast players. The coach also adapted the current system very well and correctly. I am alone surprised by this report. In this group it was an application – there was a huge difference in the score, but we beat the game itself. We have so much class in front of us that today we used almost every moment,” said Kashia.
