The gold medal belonging to Paralympian Giga Ochkhikidze was returned.
The Georgian delegation appealed the decision and Giga Ochchikidze is finally the champion of the Paralympics!
Ochkhikidze used two out of six shots, one of which was shot at 9.66 meters, which is a world record, although the delegations of Poland and Morocco protested the result. After the video review, the Georgian’s result was canceled, which was later appealed by the Georgian delegation.
Finally, Giga proudly returns to his homeland with Olympic gold and a world record.
