Geno Petriashvili beat Meshvildishvili in the semi-final stage, and Meshvildishvili himself defeated Polish athlete Robert Baran in the fight for bronze.
Finally, in the 125 kg weight category, two Georgians were able to win a medal. Geno Petriashvili won gold, and Meshvildishvili won bronze.
