At the Paris Summer Paralympic Games, judoka Giorgi Kaldani (J2 – 73 kg) won a silver medal.
In the final Georgian athlete lost to the Japanese Seto by two points and brought the sixth medal of the tournament to the Georgian national team.
At the Paris Paralympics, the Georgian national team had five medals so far. Giga Ockhikidze became the champion of the tournament in para-athletics. Silver medals were won by para-shooter Vladimer Chincharauli and para-judoist Zurab Zurabiani. As for the bronze medals by para-taekwondo player Ana Japaridze and wheelchair fencer Nino Tibilashvili.
