The Georgian under-16 boys’ national team, coached by Sandro Kobakhidze, achieved an impressive 4-0 victory against Turkmenistan, securing third place in a friendly tournament hosted in Turkey.
Tornike Kvaratskhelia, brother of prominent player Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, opened the scoring for Georgia. He was soon joined on the scoresheet by Giorgi Lagvilava, Giorgi Gorgadze, and Andria Chkhaidze, highlighting the team’s impressive prowess.
Sandro Kobakhidze’s team will continue to prepare for the matches of the qualifying cycle of the European Championship to be held in the fall of 2025.
