The Abu Dhabi Grand Slam started off on October 11, but it proved to be a challenging day for the Georgian judo team. Georgia had 3 participants on the first day – Nika Khuzaurashvili, Luka Modebadze (both 60 kg) and Lasha Nadiradze (66 kg).
Unfortunately all three athletes bid farewell to the tournament at the early stage and ended their participation without regret.
Looking ahead, four Georgian judokas will take to the mat on October 12, in Abu Dhabi.
Giorgi Chikhelidze, Giorgi Terashvili (both – 73 kg), Dimitri Gochilaidze and Zaur Dvalashvili (both – 81 kg) will compete for medals.
