The American athlete won the first set 7:6, which Alexander Zverev answered with a 6:3 win. The score was tied between the sets, but the American won two sets in a row and went to the semi-finals of the Grand Slam.
Taylor Fritz’s opponent will be his own nationality, Frances Tiafoe. He beat the representative of Bulgaria Dimitrov. In the fourth set, when the score was 1:4, Dimitrov closed the game and Tiafoe went to the semi-finals.
