Georgian tennis player Nikoloz Basilashvili has reached the round of 16 at the 100-point Challenger event in Rennes.
Basilashvili secured his spot by defeating the representative of Germany Max Wiskandt, ranked 528th, in three sets (6:4, 3:6, 6:3). The next opponent of the Georgian athlete will be Adrian Mannarino, number 45 in the world ranking.
The two players have faced each other twice before: Basilashvili emerged victorious at the Sofia’s 250-point tournament, while Mannarino secured the win at the 1000-point Paris Masters.
