Alexandr Iashvili Declares the Goal is to Play at Dinamo Arena

At a press conference held at Mikheil Meskhi Square, Alexandr Iashvili, vice-president of the Georgian Football Federation, addressed upcoming League of Nations matches and various issues concerning the national team.

“Our goal is to play at “Dinamo Arena”, but we want the stands of the stadium to be completely filled. As for the game planned in Batumi, we want the national team not to play matches only in Tbilisi.

Iashvili stated that the base of the national team would not be the Tabakhmela sports center, but rather that they aim to establish their own training center where the Georgian national team, including the women’s national team, can train for key matches.

Addressing border issues with Iran, Iashvili assured that the federation would do everything possible to facilitate the national team’s arrival without hindrance.

On October 11, the Georgian national team will face the Ukrainian national team in Poznan, Poland, and on October 14, Georgian team will host Albania at the Mikheil Meskhi Square in Tbilisi.
