Georgian para-taekwondo athlete Ana Japaridze will compete in the semi-finals of the Paralympic Games.
The 19-year-old para taekwondo player defeated Tokyo Paralympic vice-champion Maryam Betul Chavdar with a score of 7:6 in the quarter-finals and won the right to compete in the semi-finals.
In the first meeting, the Georgian para-athlete defeated the USA representative Ariana Paolo Aguila-Ramos.
It is worth noting that Georgian Para-taekwondo players are participating in the Paralympics for the first time. Lia Chachibaia competed today, and Giorgi Nikoladze will defend the honor of Georgia on August 30.
